Cricket Theatre was founded in 2013 with the hope to create a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children with a safe, welcoming environment to explore their love of theater.  As a non-profit, we are able to reinvest our resources back into the program to create the best experience for our actors.  Based in Lake Zurich, Illinois, we have produced dozens of shows, both musicals and plays, and have been supported by a welcoming community.

Since our founding, we’ve grown to offer programs for various age ranges, with kids entering 1st Grade to even shows with adults! We continue to dedicate ourselves to exploring new opportunities, teaching our participants, and spreading the joy of live theater.

Our Board

Mary Beth Euker

Mary Beth Euker is one of the Founders of Cricket Theatre. Growing up as with an appreciation for the arts, she knew she wanted to give back to her community as she saw her own kids become more involved with shows both on stage and behind the scenes. She has now directed numerous shows, and even participated in some herself, and enjoys all aspects.

Debbie Miller

Debbie is one of our longest standing board members, with a daughter who participated in Cricket. Debbie’s positive nature helps lead an inclusive and community-oriented organization, welcoming all those who seek out Cricket. Debbie has taken the lead Cricket’s financials, fundraisers, and parent volunteers. She continues to grow with Cricket, taking on new roles and responsibilities every year.

Colleen Bohn

Colleen is another board member who originally got involved with Cricket when her son was a participant. With her experience in other non-profits and business, she has played an instrumental role helping guide Cricket as it matures, taking on and optimizing many different areas including, but not limited to sets, storage, and business organization.

Dan Euker

Dan Euker is a former Cricket Theatre participant, and has experience performing in both professional and community theater. He has now directed for Cricket since 2015, and enjoys all aspects of their, whether it’s on the stage or behind the scenes. Dan joined the board back in 2023 and now oversees Cricket’s website and other technical needs.

Tracy Suykerbuyk

Tracy has been a board member for two years now, but has been a longtime volunteer. Both of her daughters have been Cricket Participants for over a decade, and before her time on the board she donated her experience in photography to help curate a wonderful group of photos of our shows. Now as a board member, Tracy continues to assist with photography, but has taken on tons of various responsibilities including parent volunteers, assisting with show production, tickets, and helping on-board new directors.
