Summer Shows 2026

Our summer shows are the backbone of our company. We hold auditions in late spring and our program runs from June through July. We rehearse two nights a week regularly but may have additional rehearsals as needed. Everyone is cast in the show, receives a t-shirt, and is part of a full length musical or play.​

​

We break down our shows into four age groups that we call "companies." We have a variety of companies for actors going into 1st grade through Freshman year of college. We focus on building performance skills and self-esteem through full length productions.

​

Our program is a non for profit powered by the strength of our community.  We do require parental (or high school student) volunteerism or a possible donation in addition to our program fee.  These volunteerism opportunities will be detailed at our parent meeting and include costumes, set, programs, PR, and other show related needs.

Program Fees and What's Included

Program Fees are $300 for the first participant.  For families with multiple participants, program fee is $275 for the additional participant(s).  Our program guarantees the following for all participants:

  • 8 Week Program.  Rehearsals at least two nights a week

  • Video copy of the show

  • Custom Show Shirt

Fireflies Company

  • Age Range: Students going into 1st-3rd grade in the fall of 2026

  • Audition Workshop: May 4 5-6:30pm at the Lake Zurich Chapel

  • Auditions: May 18 5-9pm at the Lake Zurich Chapel

  • Rehearsals: Mondays and Wednesdays 5-7 PM at Spencer Loomis Elementary School

  • Tech Week: July 20-22

  • Show Dates: July 25th at 7 PM and July 26th at 2 PM

In this age range we focus mainly on a diverse set of skills for younger leaners listed below + Storytelling + Voice Projection + Memorization + Body Language + Dance Basics (Rhythm and Clean Movements) + Vocal Accuracy + Confidence Onstage + Facial Expressions + Working as a Team

Little Crickets Company

  • Age Range: Students going into 4th-6th* grade in the fall of 2026.

  • Audition Workshop: May 4 6-7:30 PM at the Lake Zurich Chapel

  • Auditions: May 8 5-9 PM at the Lake Zurich Chapel

  • Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-7 PM at Spencer Loomis Elementary School

  • Tech Week: July 13-15

  • Show Dates: July 18th at 7 PM and July 19th at 2 PM

*Students going into 6th grade in the fall of 2026 will have the option to choose between Little Crickets and Junior Company. They can only choose one show to audition for.

Junior Company

  • Age Range: Students going into 6th*-8th grade in the fall of 2026.

  • Audition Workshop: May 11th 6-7:30pm at the Lake Zurich Chapel

  • Auditions: May 15th 5-9 PM at the Lake Zurich Chapel

  • Callbacks: May 18th 6-8 PM

  • Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-10 PM at Spencer Loomis Elementary School

  • Tech Week: July 20-22

  • Show Dates: July 23 at 7 PM and July 24 at 7 PM

*Students going into 6th grade in the fall of 2026 will have the option to choose between Little Crickets and Junior Company. They can only choose one show to audition for.

In this age range we focus on improving the skills listed above as well as the ones listed below + Creative Interpretation + Improvisation + Character Work + Vocal Variety + Working as an Ensemble + Intent

Senior Company

  • Age Range: Students going into 9th grade - Freshman year of college in the fall of 2026.

  • Audition Workshop: May 4 7:30-9 PM at the Lake Zurich Chapel

  • Auditions: May 8th 5-9 PM at the Lake Zurich Chapel

  • Callbacks: May 11 4:30-6:30 PM at Barrington Station

  • Rehearsals: Mondays and Wednesdays 7-10 PM at Spencer Loomis Elementary School (Some additional Friday rehearsals may be added for leads.)​

  • Tech Week: July 13-15

  • Show Dates: July 16th at 7 PM and July 17th at 7 PM
